I was done for the day. The light had begun to change from the soft glow of the rising sun to the stronger, starker light of approaching noon.
It had been a good day. The foals conked out on the ground, the mares content, content enough to wander away grazing as I lay down in the grass to get some last shots of sleeping foals.
