To truly understand how rein effects work we need to understand when each individual rein aid can change how it works. We have to understand the when and the why. Important to include this in the education you share. Fairness to the horses demands this.
Just know there are times when you shouldn’t be using certain reins because of how they change.
So how is that possible?
And why haven’t we heard about this before?
Let’s start by talking about the most basic rein aid: the leading rein. This rein aid is used universally by everyone, no matter the discipline, equipment, age, or breed of the horse.
