Bringing forward ideas, questions, concepts and asking ourselves can we do better? Is there something that we are missing? Agree or disagree, we hope to inspire the conversation.
Here at Kjrsos, we live in a constant state of discovery, where we challenge ourselves every day over everything. Everything we ourselves thought or ever believed to be true. Because that is what the horses have challenged us to do.
When the Horse Challenges Everything that you Thought You Knew
When the 'Horse Challenges Everything' that you thought you knew... you have no choice but to take up the challenge and hopefully learn about yourself in the process and you cannot help but be changed by your new awareness.
In these pages of the Kjrsos Magazine, we bring you some of those challenges.
Each issue our horses challenging all of us on what we thought we knew, perhaps challenging what we thought was best for the horses. Maybe simply getting us to think about something from a slightly different perspective, one where the change might be slight, but the results can be consequential and even at times dramatic.
Sometimes the challenge is to us. Asking us if we could do better, not just with the horses, but in life.
Kjrsos gave these gifts to us and now, in turn, we pass them onto you, which you cannot help but want to do when you have been given something so special. The best of gifts are never meant to be kept. And perhaps today or one day you will find yourself wanting to pass them on to others that need to hear Kjrsos's voice. The voice of the horses. That is of course if you haven't been doing so already.
Of course, in the pages of a magazine, we can only cover in broad strokes what sometimes needs our detailed attention. But hopefully, we can at least start the conversation.
We want to hear your voice, your ideas, thoughts and experiences of what the horses taught you. And so, we ask that you consider becoming a part of our community. Join with us. Share with us, make us stronger, wiser and perhaps you will be surprised by what we will find together.
In this issue, we cover the concept of level arenas and put out a challenge to everyone on how we can help the horse find health when we focus on challenging the ability of his body to rebalance. While this is not even the beginning on how to get into all the little ways this can be incorporated into our training, handling, and housing of our horses, at least it can be a start. In our quest for perfection, we often go wrong. In our quest to care and protect we forget to challenge and allow our horses to grow to all that they can be.
Our Challenge: Asking ourselves what is it that we have yet to see.
