The instructor who locks her method as only hers is not protecting her livelihood. She is choking off the only source of nutrients that would have kept it growing. Twenty years from now, her method will still be what it was the day she closed the door on it. Twenty years from now, the teacher who gave it away will be teaching something far deeper than she started with — because she let it keep being shaped.
